Boy! This one was so HARD to find out how, in the name of god….to add “Rich Pins” to my blog?!
Every post I read claimed that it’s easy…all you have to do is go to the “Social” in your WordPress admin sidebar panel…
But…what?! Where the in the world is that “Social” thing they are talking about?! I don’t have it anywhere!
Where in the name of god do I have that “Social” on the left sidebar on my dashboard?!
So, yesterday I found out how to install “Rich Pins” on my blog….and I want to share it with you and show you all how easy it really is! 😉
Before we start, you will need to install the “Yoast SEO” plugin on your blog in order to install the “Rich Pins” on your blog. (If you already have “Yoast SEO,” then Awesome! Let’s get started!)
A lot of people asked me, “What are “Rich Pins” “
So I decided to add this to the post! 🙂
What are “Rich Pins”???
“Rich Pins” will add a few more details to your pins so that the pins will look a little more useful to your readers.
Without “Rich Pins”
With “Rich Pins”
o.k. now that we know the difference…lets head to work! 😉
How to Install “Rich Pins” on your Blog
Go to the “SEO” tab on the left sidebar in your WordPress Admin panel.
Click on the “Features” tab and click to “Enable” the “Advanced Settings Pages”
Click on the “Social” tab on the left sidebar in your WP admin Panel
Click on the “Facebook” tab and make sure that the “Add Open Graph meta data” is clicked on “Enabled.”
Copy one of your post URL links and past it into the “Rich Pins Validator” page
You will get a message confirming that your Pin’s have been validated 🙂
Check and see if all the information from your blog is correct such as the “Favicon,” “Site name, “…
Then make sure you pick the “HTML Tags” option and click on “Apply Now.”
TADA!!!! Now you have to wait for an email from “Pinterest” that says:
“We’ve approved your rich pin application!” 🙂 (For me, it took under a minute…)
You’re done!!! You installed “Rich Pins” on your blog! Congrats!
